Mongrels

An urban legend to the peoples of Kenabres as until their re-emergence during the Demonic Invasion of Kenabres, the Mongrelfolk had spent a century living in the tunnels and caves under the city. Legend says that during the First Crusade, many Crusaders were affected by abyssal energies and radiation, causing their children to be born deformed and twisted. This lead to many of the parents and children being put to death by overzealous inquisitors, with the surviving Crusaders fleeing to the tunnels underneath the city.

During the invasion of demonic invasion of 4733 AR, the Mongrelfolk was convinced to return to the city in order to defend it against the demonic forces.
